Friday, August 10; red, white and marching boys

ok ok im sorry Singapore. i'm about an hour late in wishing you.

so happy belated 42nd birthday anyway:)

-sigh- to the few dwindling readers of this blog, im sorry about the really bad and short entries lately, cos the tail end of the semester always wraps its tail around the neck, making breathing a little hard.

well who am i to complain, the uni kids are probably having a harder time compared to poly.

do you realise that most people remember the earlier national day songs instead of the newer ones?

but it is rather heartwarming to see the many people decked in red/white today. it puts a smile on your face, mine at least.

of cos there are people who do this once a year but still do not carry themselves properly as a singaporean but for this one day, dont you feel some special like bonding with maybe that person who sat next to you during the train ride?

as much as gripe and groan about singapore and her idiosyncrasies, i do like staying here.

maybe it's the comfortable syndrome. not wanting to change cos im settled and accepting what is of her.

ultimately, at least i care enough to tolerate what's happening right.

oh oh and i really really like watching marching past. really. when i really do watch the national day parade, i usually look out for the beginning and the end - marching and fireworks:)

really. not just the guys in uniform maybe. but how straight and uniformed their marching are. their synchronising and timely movements. the smartness of their posture. wow.

it's the uniforms la im sure. normal guys wont have that same effect.

maybe it's the male aura they give out.

ok nevermind. that sounded wrong. i think i need to stop, drained from editing people's news writing articles.

good morning world. good morning singapore:)
