Wednesday, December 26; see you next year, christmas

alright that was it.

church mass(es), large turkey with chestnut stuffings, gimongous amount of salad ingredients, super thick chocolate logcake, super dense fruitcake, presenting the children's presents, sneakingly painting glasspaints on glass baubles for the family members, etc. was pretty much swallowed into yesterday.

now we have: leftover turkey chunks with chestnut stuffings, still alot of salad ingredients, half a super thick chocolate logcake, quarter of the super dense fruitcake, children's presents in the toybox and the glass baubles hanging in each familymember's rooms.

while this annual family tradition (other than the new thing of adding mahjong after lunch bit) slowly subsides soon, it's hard to not remember that im left with 4 days to finish up my long list of to-do-items! and they are all very urgent, only which is urgent-est.

call the season commericalised (yes it's timely for advertisers and marketers), but i kinda like it. not because im catholic.

but maybe the extra family-ness. and maybe the meetups with friends, reunions. the pretty lights and colours. even the crowd in orchard road, all with a common mind of doing last minute shopping (ok i admit, i was in orchard on christmas eve). oh and in mass, even spotting other catholics we used to see during our different Sunday mass timings - and how their respecitve kids are grown up, how they look different, etc.

ok fine, other than the great food and the possibility of getting presents lah.

im off to bed now, in any case (depending on your take on christmas):

MERRY
CHRISTMAS!
:)

damn cute, right? :)
