Wednesday, September 3; let's take those steps

we know what's coming up, we know how things might look like, we know that it probably wont be easier, neither will it be the same way it is now.

but we can't really change that part of reality and that moment. we can only look at that distance and journey between here and there and take that path with the sunlight.

"we'd cross the bridge when we get to it" remember? so meanwhile, we walk towards this one bridge we have before us very soon.

optimistic people can usually be seen as naive and/or gullible idealists, criticised to be those who can be easily fooled and easily contented. but not all are such extremists optimists (or i hope i am not, at least!).

sure, with the unequal balances of the world, the discrimination of life on persons and lives, anyone can be critical, cynical and snide. but sometimes that's a sure way to slip down the slide of pessimism.

while being nit-pickingly critical can bring out its usefulness like finding faults to be fixed, loopholes to be joined and holes to be covered; it can't happen all the time.

that dark dingy side would overshadow, consume (slowly or not) and eat your mind up, filling that thinking space into swamp-like darkness.

by this time, it's really quite hard for optimism to turn up magically, to, well, do its magic.

optimism is at its best to look at the brighter side of things, even while acknowldeging the other. it turns your whole world around to see the other side from where one is standing.

many a times, you'd be amazed at how things are from that perspective :)

i find it's just best to be prepared for the worst case scenario your pessimistic mind can conjure (really mean that cos it can always be extreme and flawed) but hope for the very best which your optimistic side can paint very well indeed :)

it just takes one to muster a bit more courage, a slightly more dash of faith and additional hope to brave the moment(s).

and we are all capable of doing just that. just as long as we tell ourselves who is in control, who is it in you that draws out the life you lead and choices you make.

(now i just need to remember what i just said!)

we'll paint that picture together if we can ok? if not, due to constraints, we'd paint it by taking turns. you and i know the path, now it's taking that path with a little smile of hope and love :)
