yes yes i just notice that my blog's original creator's photobucket isn't active, but ohwell, i'll fix it up soon enough. meanwhile, just try imagining that nice bunch of yellow-orange geberas :)i miss Sundays in Hong Kong.
while i had loads of fun exploring and running down different parts of HK with Ruiming, i also looked forward to the morning consistency i had for 20 Sundays.
it was the early morning wakeup i tell myself i have to do, to be on time for mass (okay, i also had to go pop by the boys' room to make sure Peter's awake to go too, but that's another thing haha).
this isn't going to be like a preachy religious entry, so don't worry.so clad in maybe two layers to keep slightly warm, and smiling at the morning sun, i (we, if Peter manages to be on time) would brisk walk to the catholic cathedral 15 minutes' away from hostel.

i loved those mornings cos i really got that 'me' time, to actually pay attention during readings (okay, with the 'ah yee' status back in SG with the kids, it can be quite a challenge) and being a proper church-goer.
not that i really detest being back home and attending church with the family. with my sister's kids almost permanently glued to me cos i have this tendency to keep watch of them and make sure they don't make too much of a din. i love those kids to death.
but it's an experience.
it was just an amazing setting, that really keeps you in a right mind, changing your whole outlook.
this Sunday routine, was a reminder of home. a reminder of what i had temporarily left to be where i was. something i had promised myself to do.

so for that special one hour a week, i would consciously be thankful for where i was, how fortunate or how safe i was being away from home, reflecting on some moments and dropping a gentle reminder to keep watch over all my loved ones back home.
and with a smile on my face and a renewal of courage, i would be able to face a new week, in a city
not called home :)
p.s. unlike fortunate idza boobies, i didnt manage to come back with an adorable hong kong boy or maybe one of the many angmos who had set his flag there. next internship/exchange maybe ;)
