hello! looks like my weekly updates have started again eh. well, it does show the pace my life is currently at now, doesnt it. that's a form of an update.
(
don't mind me that once in awhile Hong Kong is brought up here and again. the six-month internship DID fall during festive periods and major critical moments in life. so, yah, i get that entitlement.)
last chinese new year, what was i up to? eve-wise, people weren't working much but i remember ruiming and i went to some dinner place in Causeway Bay. and also the day i brought Zara Boots out to walk at Victoria Park's CNY carnival thingy. it was the last week before the end of my internship, so it was quite a nice end.
the feeling of having a familiar reunion dinner of steamboat at home, was such a good one :) sure it was noisy, chaotic, messy, especially with the kids involved, but it was something i missed so badly being away!
technically, chinese new year plopped itself on valentine's annual fixed date. well, unless we want to be picky and fight over chronology on who founded it first. and on that note, i did like the concept of The Love Letter being Amanda Chong's poem dedication this year :) her poem's found in yesterday's Life! papers. will put it up here when i get my hands on the paper.
like the year before, it's the traditional myth i'm still carrying out: staying up late for The Parents' longevity. more years of nagging, chiding, arguing and loving - that's fine. :)
happy chinese new year and happy valentine's day to all. enjoy your day(s)! :)
