Thursday, May 6; an expiry date we do not know

there are many things you can try to control in your life really.

the decisions, the choices, the outlook, the situation, in some ways, your future. sure, it's all given with the right opportunities, the right moments and the right things. but still, you do have some sense of control.

the variable that makes everything just so unstable, uncertain and actually makes our lives all differ, is really, time.

we made time something we can measure, something we can count. we've made it something that we can sense, predict and even feel pressure from.

with seconds, minutes, hours, days, years, clocks, watches, the sun, we've made these moments measurable. ever since your first breath, the timer has been ticking, and you really don't know when it stops.

you can gauge when it stops, you predict how much time you have, you (try to) plan your life in that timeframe (or you live for that moment), and we're just taking minutes.

time is what really controls your choices and decisions.

you weigh your risks, you think about your choices, you figure out what you might lose or gain, you determine what plans you take, all around time and your predicted, assumed timeline.

and really, it's consequences we imagine to occur at those assumed timings, that affects our decisions.

the best action can be taken at a wrong timing and everything crumbles. similarly, the worst ones, at the best timings, are well, become the best.

we've created something we're a slave to. and we're amazing, we rely on our gut feeling to make those timely choices and decisions.

i'm probably not making much sense anymore. must be the time of the day. i hope you don't feel too cheated if you read all the way here haha. goodnight! :)
