and so 2011's here. :)
maybe it's my way of starting it (in hope) a little more right than the last or the year before with a smiley face. might not be much, but it's a start.
as i spent the new year's eve night out, i was thinking in the afternoon; that the day felt only slightly different. only simply cos we made it out to be different.
we reminiscence, we think, we reflect, all in the usual retrospect. and of course, we look forward and bookmark things you want to remember, things you wish you did, things you definitely would like to forget and maybe things you want to achieve.
it feels different because we have made it out to be that way.
like time, days, weeks and months, new year's eve is really another day in passing, if not for the change in the year, the appropriate time for changes, new (or maybe more focused, nearer) goals and challenges.
we could've passed the day like a simple Friday in the middle of say, October.
in many ways, we
need to have it different.
we're soldiers, we're fighters, we're ignorants, but we're all living. living as time does.
with a new year; a presumption of a new start, a new chance, another opportunity, another moment of refresh.
even as constructed, construed and created; denied or in denial,
it keeps us going. it keeps us living.
somehow, in some way.
now as we try to fill it up with good things, preventing too many bad ones and hoping to repeat the yummy ones,
happy new year all :)

horoscope appaaarently says i'm on the right track if i believe in miracles ;) oh i sure sure sure sure hope so!
